Louis Stettner
The diversity of the topics he covers and the permanent social component of his images These are the main features of the work of the American Louis Stettner (New York, 1922-Paris, 2016), a long and very interesting career that has not received the recognition it deserves until now.

With a life straddling New York and Paris, Stettner remained rooted in two worlds at a time when most photographers related to only one of them. In this sense, his work refers both to the aesthetics of New York street photography and to the poetic gaze of traditional French urban photography, always with the background of his social concern and his efforts to reflect the dignity of the human being.

The exhibition, made up of more than 180 photographs that cover Stettner's entire career, aims to alleviate the lack of knowledge that still exists today about his figure and the relevance of his obra.

Pau Errázuriz
In 2018, and after presenting the first retrospective of the artist in Spain, Fundación MAPFRE added 173 works by the Chilean photographer Paz Errázuriz (Santiago de Chile, 1944), author of a wide, committed and recognized work on the social and political reality of her country with an aesthetic that, far from classic photojournalism, contains a profound observation of the condition
As part of the annual appointment of the KBr's programming with our Collections, this exhibition presents a careful selection of that collection, in a proposal that offers an overview of his work from the seventies to the current affairs and which includes some of his best-known series, such as Adam's Apple or The Infarct of the Soul.
