Learn the history of this ornate palace and garden. Known as Portugal's answer to Versailles, it was originally designed as a summer residence for the royal family before King Pedro III transformed it into a palace. Discover for yourself the majesty of the 18th century aristocracy!

Palace: 9:00 a.m. to 18:00h
Gardens: 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

On 12 March 2025 the National Palace of Queluz will close in the afternoon for a state event. The last entrance to the monument is at 11:30 am and the Palace will close at 12:30 pm.

NOTE: The remodeling works of the ticket office and shop of the National Palace of Queluz forced the temporary relocation of these services. The tour circuit begins, temporarily, in the Throne Room.
